What we do

Five pillars of practice
01

Clarify Direction

Making sense of complexity and shaping strategy people can actually take forward.

02

Strengthen Organisations

Governance, leadership, systems and ways of working, so change can be sustained.

03

Prepare for AI

Thoughtful use of AI in a way that strengthens organisations and teams.

04

Generate Insights

Practice-based research, evaluation and learning that turns experience into knowledge.

05

Enable Change

Bringing people together to learn, solve problems and turn ideas into action.

Who we work with

Different actors. One shared challenge: strengthening the capabilities needed to navigate transition.

01

People

Individuals and groups navigating transition: women in transition, founders, creatives, professionals, leaders and communities.

02

Enterprises & Organisations

Businesses, social enterprises, NGOs, banks, hubs and foundations strengthening capability in their people and work.

03

Institutions & Systems

Governments, universities, research bodies, industry groups and development partners shaping the enabling environment.

People develop capability. Organisations create the conditions for it. Institutions shape the systems that enable it. Akijul works across all three.

Facilitating a working session
Grounded in practice

Change is not a service we sell. It is a practice we live.

We work with organisations, networks and social enterprises across the continent, facilitating, not prescribing, so that strategy is tested in the room, on the ground, with the people it is meant to serve.

04

Creativity, Enterprise and Community

Our intellectual signature

From practice, to learning, to systems change.

Practice

The work itself, in the room, on the ground.

Learning

What that practice reliably teaches us.
